EDUCATION & TRAINING
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive/Engine Design
Kettering University – Flint, MI
Thesis: Design and Validation of an Automatic Transmission Chain Tensioner (H-D)
I chose to attend Kettering University because of its rich history associated with the automotive industry. The school focuses on developing engineers professionally and has one of the top Mechanical Engineering programs in the country. Ultimately, Kettering offered a co-op program that allowed me to start working at Harley-Davidson at the age of 18.
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, WI
While working at a tier-1 supplier to Caterpillar, it was a requirement to obtain a six sigma black belt certification. This training helped me reduce process variation and create more reliable components.
3D Scanning & 3D Printing Training
LinkedIn Learning, Markforged Demo, Purple Platypus & Purple Porcupine Demo
3D printing and scanning are becoming more prevalent and capable. It is critical for me to update my knowledge of these subject matters to improve my reverse engineering and rapid prototyping skills. I have personally reached out to 3D companies for demos and continually partake in online courses.
